The Board

Friday Ebong is a veteran Lecturer and Professor of Economics and Statistics, University of Calabar, Cross River State (1987-2021). He holds a Master’s degree and Ph.D. in Economics. During the period, he served in top positions as Acting Head of Department of Economics and member of Senate (2009-2012). Professor Friday Ebong has carried out several studies and many publications to his credit.  

In recognition of his outstanding contribution, he was awarded Scholarship funds and Awards from the Government of Cross River State and the Federal Government of Nigeria

He is an affiliate of the Nigerian Economic Society, Nigerian Statistical Association and African Economic Research Consortium Alumni Association. He has also been a Economic consultant for the Federal Government of Nigeria (1995, 2008), Abia State Government, Nigeria (2005) and Brien Holden Vision Institute, South Africa (2017).
